The incoming of the Consorzio Doc Sicilia scheduled from November 22nd to 24th between Noto and Vittoria is entirely devoted to Nero D’Avola, where over 40 wine journalists will be guided in an in-depth study of the variety, with visits to the wine cellars and tastings.
After the first institutional greeting by the vice president of the Consortium, Giuseppe Bursi, two masterlcasses in particular are scheduled which will offer an original insight, on the one hand, to the different expressions of Nero d’Avola regarding soil, on the other hand to the different expressions of Nero d’Avola regarding altitude. The journalist and sommelier Luigi Salvo will guide them, supported by the certified agriculturalist Filippo Buttafuoco.
The wines of 46 companies will be tasted, whose producers will participate in different events of the program.
This incoming is carried out as part of the MiPAAF (Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies) granting of contributions according to Directorial Decree no. 0302355 of July 7th, 2022 for the granting of subsidies concerning initiatives aimed at developing information, training and promotion actions to improve knowledge of, encourage the circulation of and support the development of wine products marked by the E.U. according to (EU) Regulation no. 1308/2013.
