The DOC Sicily Consortium is the exclusive partner of the first edition of the Italian Sommelier Association’s Sicily School for Competitions – Best Sommelier Sicily for 2023.
The course started recently with the first two lessons, led by speakers selected from among the best sommeliers belonging to the Italian Sommelier Association from various regions of Italy.
At the end of each lesson there was a blind tasting of Sicily DOC wines, which for the first two meetings involved samples of Lucido and Grillo wines.
Via moments of in-depth study in the wineries belonging to the Consortium, the School intends to give sommeliers of the Italian Sommelier Association further competence, by training authoritative figures who can then become ambassadors of the territory and by preparing candidates for the regional competition for the title of Best Sommelier Sicily for 2023, which will be held on October 15th.
